CeCe's Thesis Statement

The romantic hero, Lancelot, is more effective at embodying the values of his culture than the epic hero, Beowulf. Unlike Beowulf, who performs humanly impossible displays of strength and exaggerates expected ethics, Lancelot is a realistic inspiration and role model who exemplifies the ideals of his culture through simple good morals.

  1. I have no idea how to post on this blog so i'm just going to post my thesis on here before i throw my computer at a wall and write a threatening letter to the blogger people for making their website so unnecessarily complex.

    My (tragic) Thesis:
Beowulf and King Arthur both show morals that embody the values of their society. Loyalty and nobility are two characteristics that make them reflections of the values osf their cultures. However, while Beowulf is more impressive in his incredible ethics and unachievable feats of strength Arthur is a better model for his culture because he represents a practical goal for the people of his society.
